help with IR remote

just bought some cambridge audio and need to use the remote in the lounge the audio is in another room the speakers are in my been told i can get a IR REMOTE entender can anyone help?

thanks was told that i can get one thats like a battery thats fit in the remote and the other end sits next to the units?
