Help- Wife friendly AV reciever

I'm looking for an Av reciever up to £400. The problem is it has to fit in the unit under the Tv (new furniture) which has a height restriction 15cm so the reciever has to be about 12cm high or less which rules out all the ones reviewed each month. so does anyone know of a good sounding AV reciever thats under 12cm high

The 340R has hdmi connectivity, although if you can do without hdmi, the 540V2 is the same price and size but would be better for music.

Was there not a Panasonic receiver that did HD stuff too that was quite short? Good looking unit too. Not sure on the depth though.

Had a look on richer sounds web site and they will fit perfectly. theres the cambridge audio azur 340R and the 540R V3 any thoughts on speakers to go with them, up to about £400 again.
