HI,

Am considering replacing my Mission M74i Floorstanders with a budget standmount, something like the Monitor Audio BR2 or predecessor B2 and subwoofer. Haven't got a huge budget and may even purchase second hand off ebay

Listen to Melodic Rock, some thrash metal and Classic rock. Finding the M74i's too harsh and disjointed at moderate listening levels

System Rotel RCD971CD, Nad Preamp 1155, 2 x Nad 2200PE mono blocs, Paradigm PDR10 Sub (not used for music at present)

Thanks

Get a pair of Triangle speakers, they rock like lemmy on speed!

Whatever you do don't go for MA either, that will just add to the brightness. Look at a pair of second hand Epos at that price level.

Thanks,

Would epos M5's be a good match as you can appear to pick up cheap £200 superfi. Then perhaps could integrate my sub for more base?

Cheers
