Hi guys. Can I have some help/advice please

I have a Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD700 but I want to improve the sound. I am looking at buying some speakers. I don’t want 5.1 as I don’t have enough room for cables or even rear speakers I also don’t want a sub as my walls are thin and I don’t have enough room either. I know I am fussy sorry ;o)

I also need a blu ray player at some point and I know you can get all in ones that act as a amp. So I could then have 2 front sides and a centre for the voice but they all come with subs. I am also considering a long centre sound bar speaker. What do you think guys?

Two examples of the kind of setup I am looking at but they both come with a subs I don’t need that

Thanks

Given your requirements, why not just go for a budget amp and standmount speakers?

Looking at the Superfi site (because you linked there)
For example a NAD C315BEE amp @ ~ £165 , and a pair of MS 902i @ ~ £100.
The centre speaker is more necessary if you are not central to the picture, or have many people watching.
I think you will find that the sound is transformed, and you have a nice starter for music too.

Yup, agreed. Or, if you really desperately want the centre speaker, an AV amp and the front three speakers of one of the traditional 5.1 packages e.g. Tannoy Mercury F1 and FC speakers.
