help!! please with speaker problem

hi , i have just bought a marantz PM6003 amp with cd.

having set up and put speaker wire in what i think is correctly there is no sound.

any advice grateful.

we have put in speaker A socket.

dont have the same amp, but make sure that the amp control is set to cd? ...

Can you be more precise with how it is connected??

Is it turned on?

Doh! Before those 2 recommendation above work did you plug in your power cables ?

Joking aside once I panicked cause I had accidentaly pressed the speaker pair selection button (A or B) and hadn't noticed it.
