Help obtaining Rega spares

Hi all.

We have a Rega Planar 3 turntable. There seems to be a problem with the cable that connects to the amp - it causes lots of static and crackles, and loss of signal in one channel. Moving it around sometimes helps, but the problem always returns. We need to replace this cable.

Looking underneath the turntable, it appears that is screws into the underside, so I assume it can be changed. Problem is, I can't find any. I've searched around, and find lots of other spares, but never the cable.

Any suggestions welcome, thanks!

Your nearest Rega dealer.

Planar 3 cables (assuming you have the RB300 arm version) are not user replaceable so you either need Rega to do it or a competent Rega dealer.

There is a good chance that the problem will be solved by having someone solder some new RCA connectors onto the signal cable if - as you seem to be saying - the fault is intermittent and disappears for a while when moving the cable around.

Does the fault 'follow' the channel when you switch L and R connections around?

If not, then it is the phono input socket on the amp.
