Ive recently purchased the above amp, alls fantastic with it apart from the fact that i dont get any sub bass whilst im listening to CDs in stereo, ive tried it in analogue direct, pure direct & still no joy, however it does say in the manual of the amp that if you put it in stereo you get sound from the 2 font speakers (obviously) & from the subwoofer depending on how you have your settings etc so it can obviously be done as its stating you can but how is another question, can anybody help? Preferably from somebody who may have this amp? itd be much appreciated.

It's probably a question of the speaker size you've chosen for the front left/right speakers. If you set this to small, the receiver should kick in the sub in stereo.

See also manual pp50-51 and explore the use of the subwoofer plus function.

I agree with Andrew (and who wouldn't??!!).

I have this amp and after the auto MCACC set up, I had to go into the speaker set up manually and change the speaker size to small (MV1's) to then send everything below 80Hz to the sub (PV1)

Something id like to mention? why is it that just about everybody i come across always sets there speakers to "small" when the amp sets em to "large"? & that just about everything i read tells you to set em to !large" for best results? even Clare mentions on the video display about setting a receiver to set em to large, ive done an A/B comparison with "large" & "small" settings & large is clearly better? ok, this is just my opinion, but like clare states on the video unless you have very small dinky speakers id go for large? (i dont want this to break out into a major dispute just had to say it, ha)

Hi. I have the lx60. If you go into the speaker setting 6a scroll down to sw and set it to plus you should find this will work. good luck. Paul.

Paul.Ive tried that grenadapaul but i still didnt get anything, anyway so what ive done is connected my subs via the supplied neutrik speakon interconnect that i add to my front speakers as i can use both high & low level inputs simultaneously, i think its better doing it this way as the sub gets the same signal as the front speakers & i think it sounds smoother. But thanks anyway
