Hi, I've just got a new speaker package to go with my new TV and needed some advice on cables.

My system comprises of a Denon 1909 amp, Sony 46HX903, Sony BD S570, Monitor Audio RX-W-12 Sub and B&W MT-1 satellite.

I auditioned three systems based on , the Monitor Audio R270HD, the B&W MT-30 & the sub from MA & Sats from B&W.

The set-up I plunged for gave the best overall performance in my opinion. The problem is, when I auditioned the speakers, the shop used Chord Company Odyssey cables. When I checked out how much it would cost to use the same cables at home [:O]. It cost a small fortune. The question is, should I consider these cables with my system or is it just OTT. If I should, I'd better start saving. If not what are my options? Also would I be OK just to use the Odyssey cables on the front speakers and leave the surrounds?

I use the Odyssey cable (bi amp the left and right speakers) with my front three speakers....it made a good improvement of the Chord Carnival silverscreen I had before.....

I bought mine on a well known auction site...

I use QED Micro for the rears though, as 80% of sound comes from the front speakers......

Well worth the money, especially as it's a 'one off' purchase....
