Help needed

I'm new to this,so be gentle with me. My question regards the purchase of either the oppo 93 or panny 310b,having read the reviews on both of these the 310 beats the oppo hands down at half the price or am i missing something?.Which do i buy ?,the player will be run through a Panasonic P50Vt30b and my main considerations are picture and sound but not with at present any amp/speakers etc. Regards Newbie.

Of the two, if you're just going to run it through the TV, the Panasonic will be more than adequate.
