Help needed please (newb) Panasonic TH42PZ85B vs Samaung LE40A65A

Hi All

Just wonder if you can help me out,

I'm looking to purchase one of the above tv's, not looking to start a war on here but which would you say was the best tv to go for as I cannot make up my mind?

I will be using the tv for films, gaming and the dreaded cbeebies for the kids lol !!

Any help would be much appreciated as all the peeps in the shops just keep telling confilcted stories!!

use your own eyes for the final verdict... but 100% the plasma over the LCD... the samsung was rated very highly but i dont think as yet, any LCD can beat the black levels and motion handling of a plasma...

Hello...I have the exact same situtation as Firestorm: I am looking for months now and so far I was going to buy the Panny 42pz85 but then I found out about the LE40A65A and since I will be playing consolegames in HD a lot...I am thinking I should go now for the Samsung now in case of the whole screenburn discussions..and yes, there are owners with a 42pz85 on more then one forum who say that they do have screenburn......I know, there are methods how to prevent screenburn but I seem to like the look of games on LCD a bit better then on plasma.....and since the coming of GTA4, there are diverse owners of the LE40A65A who claim that their LCD does a lot of flickering...and this seems to be an error even Samsung has confirmed....SO HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂
