any reason for the LCD only choice?? Panasonic have a new plasma in 46... also plasma beats LCD by far in terms of black levels and motion blur so take a look at some plasmas ;)

if not the panasonic (TH46PZ85B) other sizes vary from 42 and 50 ish =/

Hi I have just bought the Panasonic TH46pz85 after much consideration inclding the top of the range X series Sony and the fabled Pioneer range,
The panasonic won hands down on price picture, quality on SD/DVD and blue ray.
Cost About £1500.00 at the moment and in May comes with a 5 year warrenty for participating dealers as they say!

A bit stereotypical but my wife is very impressed.

I want an LCD as I am concerned about screen image burn as we watch a lot of SKY. Have you noticed this problem with Plasma?

Well, screen burn isn't really an issue for plasmas nowadays - do a search in the forum for "screen burn" and you'll see many posts about how this problem has been solved from modern sets.

Your fears are unfounded Bad Chow, I wouldn't rule out a plasma on the premis 'screen image burn' is an issue, it's not.
