HELP LOW DIALOG

Hi,

I have a YAMAHA DSPAX753SE receiver, 42 inch panasaonic viera HD and a set of AEG speakers. I used the AVIA home theatre disc to calibrate the sound, but dialog sounds too low and the other sounds are too over powering. I set the master volume to 40 and then calibrated each speaker to 50db, i chose not to do 70 as it was too loud. My SPL was the decibel app on my iphone.

I need some help, as the dialog is too low. Not sure what to do, all speakers read the same levels, from the SPL.

Umm, turn up the centre speaker a bit...?

tried that but it doesnt work that much, well tbh I can hear it fine, but the others in the room, cant, and to be fair my ears are very sensitive, so i can hear quite clearly even if the volume is turned down a fair bit. Do you think maybe I should recalibrate to say 60db?

I'd calibrate at 70-75db, and then turn down the volume. Trying to calibrate at low levels introduces too many variables, like ambient noise etc...
