Help identifying parts

Hello, I'm currently on a project to revive a turntable system that has bern untouched for the better part of 3 decades. An heirloom if you will. Problem is I don't know what each parts are, if you could help, it would be highly appreciated.

The top is the turntable, I'm assuming under it is either the preamp, or the prephono.

More specifically a cassette player. Perhaps the OP might post a few names /model numbers as they are difficult to make out in that photo.

Looks like a tuner to me. Systems of this age rarely required a phono preamp.

The top ‘box’ has piano style keys like an old cassette deck ...

The ‘briefcase’ is a Sanyo all-in-one record player with a lid that splits into two speakers and a built in mini turntable plus cassette etc ...

Looks like a receiver of some description, possibly Hitachi. Chebby is correct on the top box, I didn't notice the keys before.

Thank you both very much, I have been able to identify all of the necessary items required in this picture to set up the turntable, let's hope it hasn't given up the ghost. Might need some oil, my understanding is the owner bought it for fashion's sake and didn't know how to use it. I'm still curious about the second box, which may or may not be a tuner.

Surely that will be stand-alone and not connectable to anything else.?

It's certainly an eclectic assemblage of bits.
