Help - Denon 1909 red flashing light

Switched on my Denon 1909 this morning and it turned itself off after about 10 seconds, it has a red flashing light every 0.5 seconds.

I left it completely turned off for 3 hours, stayed on for 15 seconds and again flashing red light.

Has anyone experienced this problem before.

Try unplugging all of your speaker cables from the back of the amp. Turn it on again, and if the same thing happens, unplug all the interconnects as well. If it's still the same, check your manual for a system reset. If that doesn't work, it's a repair job.

Thanks for the reply, tried everything apart from a system reset, still does the same.

I will check the manual if a system reset can be performed on this model.

Any news on the 3311 delivery dates.

turn off the power using the POWER button

then press POWER while simultaniously pressing INPUT MODE and SPEAKERS

once the display starts flashing at intervals of one second release the two buttons.

your microproccesor should now be reset

if this does not rectify the problem you will need to get in touch with denon.

Thanks guys, unfortunately still the same, I'll put it in the box and drive over to the dealer next saturday.

I was thinking of changing the receiver but not until october, might have to save a bit faster now.

Hi Michael, did you somehow resolve this problem?

I have the same issue on mine now, i know that there was a temperature issue on it, but now after running about 20 minutes it turns itself off with the red blinking ring with 0.5 seconds interval.

Do you have any idea how to solve this?

It had to go away for a repair and they did a software update at the same time.

Didn't have a problem after that but, not sure what the issue was.
