Help choosing, Rotel or Rotel!? ANDREW, HELP!!!

Hello! Im looking for a cd player, Wanting the Rotel RCD 1072. Howeverm In the future i will be upgrading my hi fi system to a 5.1 hopefully.. Therefore I am looking at the RDV 1092.. Sonically, will the CD player be better for what I want? as I will be using the DVD player as part of the hi fi for quite a while... One would believe that the CD player and DVD players are best at what they are intended to do.. but will the RDV be a match for the RCD..? HELP!!! Thanks.
