Hi,

I currently have a Harmon/Kardon FL8400 multi cd player, which has gone faulty, now I've decided to go for a single disc player, but being I haven't looked at Hi-Fi equipment for at least 8 to 10 years, I have no idea what I can buy that would sound better.

I don't want to spend a fortune, so looking at around the £200 mark, but can afford more if needs must.

Current system:
Proac Tablette's, 20 years old approx
Musical Fidelity B1, 20 years old approx

Look forward to your replies and thx in advanced for your help.

Hoz

I have a feeling that a certain small black box will kill off most budget player sales but as BigChris said, there are alternatives ... Oh go on then, buy the little thing ...

It isn't gonna help him much if his old disc spinner won't spin discs!

True true but I kind of quietly assumed he would know to add some sort of transport

Still, your suggestion is just as valid
