Hi everyone, Im in the market for a new set of headphones. They must be closed cup to minimize sound leakage. Budget £150 Currently looking at: - Sennheiser HD25 - Audio Technica ATH-M50 - Beyerdynamic DT770 Open to other suggestions I have not tested any of the above. The dealers I have been to do not demo headphones due to "hygiene reasons", so I am going to make a decision based on your recommendations. I would like first and foremost a set that is comfortable to wear. Obviously the sound is important too, but I dont expect any of these products to sound bad! Cheers, Lewis

The dealers who do not demo for hygiene reasons need to look at the numerous listening stations in shops such as John Smiths and Currys/PC World. They are dealers who do not want to have to sell on a demo pair for less than full price.

I've never understood this as we've always found it essential to have as many out as possible to listen to - providing the pads are changed regularly and they're kept in good order (i.e. antibacterial wipes handy before any demonstration if necessary), its worth the time and effort to give a proper demonstration.

It's a shame re sound leakage as the Grado range is obviously superb but are very open back. Have you considered some Ultrasones too? We have some on dem alongside Beyers and the differences are quite interesting to hear.
