Headphone amp connection - direct to CD or via tape loop?

Firstly, apologies if this should be in the Headphone section!

I currently have my headphone amp (Pro-Ject Headbox S ) connected direct to my CD (Marantz PM6003). However, this means that my amp (Denon PMA250) and speakers (Mission 760iSE) are redundant unless I faff about reconnecting the CD to the amp every time I want to use them.

The obvious answer is to connect the Pro-ject via the tape loop (via tape in or tape out, not sure which - I know I don't need both) - will there be any significant sound degradation in doing so?

Or is there another solution?

Cheers Inter_Voice,

I found exactly that problem when I tried it last night - I had to turn the volume down on the amp. Not the end of the world but it didn't occur to me that it could possibly work with the amp turned off! I'll give that a try and I'll have a look at the splitter as well.
