I have just bought the Onkyo 605, SKY HD and a Denon 1940 DVD. Do I only need 1 HDMI lead to carry Dolby Digital from each box into the Onkyo or do I need to use a digital co ax or optical as well? My dealer recommends a co ax to carry sound from the Denon.

You should be fine with just the HDMI link from the Denon, AFAICR, but you'll need an optical link from the Sky HD box to the receiver - the HDMI audio from Sky HD will only give you stereo, not 5.1 surround.

Thanks Andrew. I don't want to assume anything about HDMI in practice!
