HDMI Cables 1.3 or 1.3a

Hello folks have just taken the plunge into bluray and upgraded my existing dvd player with a pioneer bdp lx71. The manual refers to a high speed hdmi cable, does this mean a cable upgrade from 1.3 to 1.3a?
