Hi all

I use my computer as my main source and I am posting to ask for advice regarding hdmi cables. I want to output 4:4:4 @ 60Hz and 10 or even 12 bit. The first two cheap cables off ebay completely failed and wouldnt even show 8bit @ 60hz. The 2nd set of 2m cables were from amazon and they faired far better in that they at least showed 10bit @60Hz but only at 4:2:0 but have drop outs on anything over that. What cables (The cheaper the better, they should just 'work') can you recommend that are guaranteed to do the job?

Cheers

I think you need something like this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B076GYTPGD/ref=psdc_1338421031_t1_B015WV0Z92

I think it needs to be a premium cable.

If you’re going for that high level you need to make sure they support 18GBs at the length you require, I would also suggest good shielding and gold plated connectors (To reduce corrosion) and should not cost more than £10 for a 1m length. (Avoid anything made by Hi-fi cable manufactures as they just rip you off with gobbledegook)
