hd sound

Im at the point where i have waited long enough for hd sound. I currently use a denon 1507 and a panasonic bd35. Would it be better to upgrade amp to something like the sony dh800 or the bluray player to lg bd390 and use the analogue outputs? Both are similar in price but i thought i may also get a slightly better image with a newer bluray player like the lg. Any thoughts anyone?

If it were me i would upgrade the amp, upgrading the blu-ray player would be more of a sideway's step.
