Hi,

Is this for real:

http://www.thegametrain.com/hdfury-1080p-hdmi-to-vga-converter-green-version-hd-fury-p-355.html?zenid=ofnjjoatrig3uf0ejl85llpn50

If it is then It means I'll be able to play HD content on my 42inch plasma which at the time of purchase in 20004 wasn't HD ready.

Sounds too good to be true!

I can believe it enables HD signals to be displayed on a non-HD TV, but can't understand how it could actually be displayed in 1080p on a lower resolution screen?

I think your monitor has to support that resolution. So if your monitor can do say 2048x1536 then your in luck for 1080 and for 1600x1200 then 720p . That's my analysis
