Hi

I'm planning my upgrade from DVD to Blu-ray, and trying to get straight what would be best for the audio. I've got an older amp (Yamaha RX-N600D), which doesn't support HDMI or HD decoding.

So I'm thinking of getting a Sony BDP-S550, and connecting it to the amp with a multi channel cable. Two questions then:

1) Will this way get the best out of the audio on Blu-Ray?

2) Anyone know of a good multi channel cable (I know IXOS make one)?

Thanks in advance

Andy

1. It'll be the best you can get using your current amp.

2. Any RCA phono cables will do the job - you just need three sets. As with any analogue interconnect, the quality of the cable will have an effect on the sound. I personally like the Chord Crimsons', but there are a wealth of options out there.
