One final question before I make a decision to order, if anyone has tried EB1 or EB2 with Roksan LIII amp and can share their experience, specially on bass response, vocals. I mainly listen to pop and dance and occasionally classical.

LOL This isn't the most successful thread...

No I haven't either, but the safety net is their 30 day money back guarantee.

Bear in mind that both of these were designed using Caspian. As for Kandy?, I know thry work with the K3 but can't tell you specifically about the L. I personally don't like either of them. That's why I use Caspian with a valve pre.

Hi, the reason I posted this question looking for some experience is that postage to EU and return will cost me 180 pounds which is quite a lot and not worth taking any chances.

Hi Ricky,

You've got me confused last time also when I raised similar question, you mentioned that EB2 are power hundgry and require lots of power, LIII is rated and 120watts, while Caspian according to your earlier response 70watts.

Also I am confused on K3 are you referrring MK3 earlier version of Kandy or pre-prod of next version K3, you stated , you were not happy with either K2 or MK3 does this mean EB2 or EB1 doesn't work well compared to Caspian or do you think EB2 are over kill for LIII and deserve better amplification.

Thanks for your feedback.,

Understand and apologies for my dig.

You'll always be taking a chance. You only have someone elses opinion on whether the amp is a good match for the speakers, we know from experience how divided opinions here can be and speakers are also room dependant.

I was just watching video review and oh boy ! they look big, either Tom Parson is too short or speakers are really big they look like half the size of men. No offense to Tom

I've noticed two major points in that review, first he mentioned bass weight is not a lot meaning they are shabby in this regard so for dance genre they are no-go, secondly he stated they don't do justice with rough recordings does this mean if I play low bit rate mp3 they aren't good for low bit rate files or poorly recorded music?

Majority of my music is mp3 320 and 25% is FLAC, I stopped playing disk 3 years ago although I do have Arcam Diva 62 collecting dust. So for outright sound quality better source is a must for EB2, if that's the case how about AVI ADM9.1 are they better in this regard compared to EB2?

Drummerman's right. The point I am trying to make is that the Kandy may be more powerful than Caspian but it is the way in which it delivers that power. Sledgehammer or silver spoon. The Caspian, IMHO, knocks spots off the Kandy and that's why I use it in the design process.
