Has anyone directly compared an Arcam CD17 and Marantz CD6003?

Has anyone heard these two players in direct comparison? I'm interested in peoples' thoughts on the comparative general presentation/characteristics of these two players which are noticeably consistent, across various music genres/other components they are used with. For example, are there noticeable differences in the following characteristics of the two players:

• openness/airiness
• sibilance
• level of detail
• fullness/leanness of bass
• tighness of bass
• width, depth and height of soundstage
• forwardness of vocal presentation

Alternatively, if you felt there was little, if any difference between the two, I'd be interested to hear those comments as well.

Also, if anyone has compared an Arcam CD72 with either of the above players, your comments along similar lines would be much appreciated.

will be interesting to read the comments as I think it all depends on what is connected to the CDP (amp, speakers, cables etc)...

i.e it may not sound as good on one system, but may sound brilliant when connected to another
