Harman Kardon BDS 877 not producing 5.1 sound HELP

Hello

I can not get the system to produce any sound in 5.1. I have done a manual set up and used the microphone and done it automatically and
yet when I put a blu ray disc in it will only play out in original, stereo and dolby vs. When I did the set up the sound came out of all the
speakers. When I connect music through the bluetooth it works and toggles through to dolby pro logic but the sound is terrible really tinny with no quality at all. I have bigged this system up so much and now my wife is laughing at me. I spoke to harmon and they just said do
a software update! I can understand if I have got a cable set up issue via sky box but with the integral blu ray not working I am at a loss. Please help if anyone has any ideas.

Are you selecting the correct sound format on the blu-ray itself? I've noticed a couple of discs recently that default to stereo instead of the surround track.

Yes, tried that and checked on a couple of discs and no difference. Thanks
