Harman Kardon AVR 760 review

Dear WHF!

I was hoping to see a review of this HK flagship receiver from your experts, but so far no luck. I was just wondering, can i expect it any time soon? I am very courious if it is worth the price of 2000, because I'm in the market for a new amp, and i like Harman's warm sound. I also noticed that you don't review much Harman Kardon products, so a few more would be nice. Perhaps a BDP 10 blu ray player?

Does anyone own this AVR, what do you think of it?

I have the 660 at home and so far so good. The amp has plenty of power and you can really hear that grip in the system. It is not overpowering just clean and taut. It is a different sound from the Pioneer SC-LX82 I had before and suits my Dali's much better.

It would be better on the end of some larger speakers in a big room.

Exactly what I was thinkig. I have The Dali Ikon complete package with ikon6 for fronts, Vocal2 center, ikon1 for surrounds and an Ikon sub. I also was considering lx 82 from pioneer but I think the ikons would really go much better with a warm Harman sound.

HomeCinemaCentre did you perhaps notice any loud fan noise? I've read a Review for the 760 in a German magazine and a loud fan was mentioned. They said it spins all the time, even when muted, and the receiver isn't even warm.
