What's your viewing distance from the plasma going to be, and what are you mostly going to watch on it (HD, standard-def etc)?

And yes, for either of those screens you should invest in a dedicated Blu-ray player - minimum of the Pioneer LX51 level - to get the most from your display investment. You'll notice a big improvement in terms of picture quality, and sound quality, too (though you don't mention a surround set-up?)

hi clare i will be between 4 to 5.5m away from the tv, ÿi went saw a 6090 wall mounted, i dont know it seems the picture looks much bigger in on that tv where as on the 500a looks more wide screen, i mean it seems more pleasing, but that could be cause i was to close to the screen, honestly i dont know which one to go for, i really had my heart set on the 500a but i dont want to get it and then think i should have gone for the 600a, to comlete the set i will be getting the bdp lx91, and sclx81 and the b&w 685 theatre, ÿdo you have any idead how good a tannoy or M7K setup will be in my room it is 19ft long by 11ft wide, i did have a listen of the kef 3005, i loved the speakers but the sub put me off, can you blame i had just heard the pvs1
