Some buzz already on the internet from the US about these new mini monitors from Grado. Some have suggested they'll recapture the magic (for many) of the PS-1 and they feature the same inner ear cup as the HF1 and PS1000 so they must sound superb.

There's some initial info on the Grado website - www.gradolabs.com

Can't wait to hear these :bounce:

They look very similar to the limited edition HF2s - a good thing if the are the same, as those are nice cans.

I'll take a wild guess that they will be more over bright bass shy cans like the rest of the Grado range. Combine this with mediocre build quality and an over inflated price tag and I think we are there.

They are perfect for the older generation who have lost the high frequency range from their hearing ;-)

It looks like you had bad experiences with grado.

Eggontoast, I had a similar experience with the Rs-2s; The GS1000 is an entirely different proposition. It changed my mind completely about Grado. They're etailed, natural, dynamic- just sublime.

If you get the chance I'd recommend to try them.

Maybe I will give them another go in the future, but TBH at present I am quite happy with my Stax SR-404's, AH-D5000's and HD-650's they seem to cover most music genres and moods.

Edit: i'll be auditioning them over the weekend. Maybe better sounding than the HF2? We'll see how everything goes.
