Hi all, I can get the marantz sr4002 for £199 or with the dv3002 for a combined £269.99.

Couple of concerns, can the marantz pass audio over the hdmi? Can it upconvert?

I have a ps3 and pana 46pz85, should I go for it or wait for the new denon's etc. What is the dv3002 like?

According to the Marantz website, the SR4002 can decode high-definition audio as PCM but only via the 7.1 multichannel analogue inputs. It offers video upconversion to component level, not HDMI.
