German Maestro 8.35 + Fiio E7

Hi Guys.

Ok I've been searching the web for a long time now, to find a pair of headphones, to produce a little bit of Electronic, DnB, Dubstep, Electro ect. music on my iMac, using Ableton live.

I found theese badass GM 8.35D, wich I think is perfekt for me. And very affordable. http://www.german-maestro.de/EN/gmp835dmonitor.htm

Now I am trying to figure out if iI need an Amp to get theese headphones going, or if my iMac can do the job just fine.

I've been looking at this Fiio E7.. I like the price. But I really don't know much about headphone amps. http://www.whathifi.com/review/fiio-e7

Will a cheap headphone amp ruin the crisp an flat sound i am looking for `?? Or will it only provide more quality to the soundstage ?

Any experience is more than welcome.

The FiiO E07k is a DAC plus headphone amp, and will sound as good as or better than the Mac headphone out, when operated from the USB port of the computer. The sound of the E07k is as good as or better than the E17, confirmed by Headfonia and myself. I got my E07k from a store in England, shipped to the U.S. No regrets - great DAC and amp.

You might also want to consider the FiiO E10 DAC/headphone amplifier if you are only going to use it via USB and not as a portable amplifier. It sounds better and is a little bit cheaper than the E07K. Don't let the price put you off either both of these little amps punch well above what their price tags suggest.
