Full Screen Blu Ray playback

Hi yall

I hope its the right place to ask.

Just hooked up my LX53 to my P50V20E. I tried a BD disc, HangOver. The thing is that, its not filling the screen. I still get black top and buttoms :-D I thought a BD would fill it all . Am I wrong?

Most Bds are like this, just the same as dvds.

It's as the Director intended the film to be seen

if you are watching blu-rays with the screen zoomed to full, you wont be getting the best picture quality, you should have the aspect ratio set to 16.9..

Thanks guys. I knew of the different ratios. I just thought that BD would see past it all.

And the 24p is EPIC. Truely epic. Looks so real
