Hello
emotion-5.gif

I've been trying to find a user-friendly WAV to FLAC ripping software able to convert all the files without introducing audible gaps. It's really annoying to get that "crack" sound between the tracks of a live recording album.

Any recommendation?

Thanks in advance,

Pedro

OK. Personally I'd use iTunes and Apple Lossless, since it's extremely user friendly, produces results absolutely equivalent to FLAC in the vast majority of cases, and handles gapless playback (from v7).

If you absolutely must have FLAC, wait for PJPro to intervene.

FLAC supports gapless playback. What are you using as your media player?

I use Foobar2000 and ripped the files from CD using EAC. Both of these products support gapless playback.

I just spent some time listening to The Wall by Pink Floyd. This has a number of tracks which bleed into each other. Absolutely gapless. No cracks. Perfect.

Yes. Another of my stock answers (EAC, FLAC & Foobar) I'm afraid.

Still I didn't know my combo supported gapless playback so this thread acted as a catalyst for a bit of research and experimentation. Cool.
