Has anyone bought one of these from the several models out there ?

Most of the reviews i have read dont like the software, or complain of crashing or other problems.

Indeed, I've been keeping up to date on the various Freeview HD PVRs from reading other forums and reviews. From the comments I've read, most people would agree that the only ones considered stable at the moment are either the Digital Stream boxes mentioned above (NB - there's a 1 TB available now and a 2 TB version on the way I think), or the Humax HDR-FOX T2 (reviewed here). Some people are working okay with the likes of the Fetch and 3view boxes, but many are returning them as they seem to be quite unstable and crashing a lot.

The Digital Stream DHR8205U (the one I have) is now only £199 from John Lewis (link) though out of stock at the moment. Possibly worth the wait though!
