Hi did i get your attention? 🙂

I currently have the Dali Ikon 1 speakers and love them very much. My plan was to upgrade my CA 340 amp to a Denon pma710ae until Denon released the CEOL. Have you had a chanse to listen to either of those Denons with Ikon speakers, and would you rate the amplifier section of the CEOL to be on par with the one in the 710 in terms of sound quality? My local dealer has both Denons but not the Ikon 1 or ikon1mk2 in so i cant compare yet.

Any input on the sound quality off the CEOL is welcome if you have not heard either of the combos i mentioned. No reviews out on the CEOL yet on any websites.

Hey Joe...

We haven't done Ikon in store for a while now. We tried them out, along with the Mentor range, but people didn't seem interested in them, and in demos, people tended to prefer other speakers (I think Dali is like Spendor - they take a while to appreciate). We have had the CEOL in, but we've just not had a chance to unbox it and try it out yet - it's been a rather busy couple of weeks with things picking up and preparing for our open evening last week!

I see. No problem and for the record i did not like my Ikons the first few days either but they grew on me really fast after that initial period 🙂
