What are you trying to achieve? These are mainly designed as a volume controller for Fostex active monitors when using them with your computer, although the headphone output is probably better than your computer's. I've only heard them briefly and I thought the output was better for headphones that a noisy windows laptop and desktop, but not really an improvement over my Mac's output. Unless you need the volume control/pre-amp functions I'd go for something designed more specifically for headphones.

The choice of which one to get depends on what outputs your computer has. The version with optical input doesn't appear to accept USB, so I'd want to be sure that my computer had an optical output. The USB version is the most adaptable in that you should be able to use it for any computer.
