Cowps:Hi everyone, I'm a fellow Foobar convert thanks to PjPro's instructions. While we're on the subject of Chronflow, I have almost all my album art embedded in the id3 tags (I think!). I don't have a seperate jpg for each album cover, unless itunes hides them somewhere. For some reason some of them show up in Foobar but others don't, anyone have any ideas why this might be? I don't know how i can instruct Chronflow to look for the album art if I can't find it myself, but since I can see it in itunes I know it must be there somewhere! Any help would be appreciated.
I'm not sure that Chronflow can extract album art from music files (someone please correct me if I'm wrong).
If you look at the Sources textbox you should be able to discover where your album art is. Remember, Chronflow tries to find the album art using the tags specified in the Sources textbox.
Clearly, for all of this to work, you need to be reasonably consistent in the way you file your album art away. You are able to specify more than one way for Chronflow to lookup album art by placing a number of paths in the Sources textbox. I had to do this for music which is filed under Various Artists. You know the sort of thing......Ladies Sing the Blues.
I'd recommend that you try to find your album art and use the same approach as tractorboy.....with all your album art in a single folder. If you do this, you can hard code the path and simply have Chronflow look for the album tag. So, something like this...
C:MusicAlbumArt%album%.jpg
My own preference is to have closely associated files all in the same place....within my Led Zepplin IV folder, I have the music files, the album art and the EAC rip reports. If I were to download lyrics, I'd put them in the same folder. Incidentally, you can play the lyrics back to the music in foobar2000.....I have experimented but it seemed a little pointless.
