Any new when those incompetent politicians are due to switch off the FM signal ?

.. despite the fact FM sounds better than DAB, and the radios are much cheaper !

that decision is due this year, but we've heard that before.

Many comments will now follow saying that people aren't bothered, there's loads of digital alternatives, all they do is stream etc. etc. but I'd rather it was left just as it is thanks.

I don't know when it's going to happen but I think you're going to have to accept that the demise of FM is an inevitability, I seriously doubt there are enough people bothered enough to save it. Make the most of it while you can.

I still listen to FM a lot. I don't doubt that the internet has the potential to send it to our homes in at least equal quality to FM, but unless your diet is radio 2 or radio 3, the quality just isn't there.

I think cars could be a problem, there are still problems with reception.

Hopefully it won't be for at least 5 years.

I hope so.

I'd like never to hear another advert promoting DAB, or someone from BBC management telling me that digital radio is the only way.

You know the type. Probably wouldn't know what the initials FM stood for, begin their sentences with, "So".
Ha, Ha! Love it!

Yes, they need to try improving it in less populated areas. We get great broadband in SE Wales, but DAB is very unpredictable where we are.
