After finally getting the money together i have bought my first items after weeks of research due to dissapointing stock levels on the yamaha amps and now the q acoustics 1010i, i managed to get an onkyo 606 in black from richersounds for 309.99 which was a bargain.

i have just got back from superfi and picked up:

TANNOY MERCURY F4 CUSTOM SPEAKERS (PAIR) - http://www.superfi.co.uk/images/tannoy-mercury-f4-custom-dk-oak-pair.jpg

TANNOY MERCURY F1 CUSTOM SPEAKERS (PAIR) - http://www.superfi.co.uk/images/MercuryF1_dkoak_pair_1200.jpg

also picked up a qed sub cable and 4 meters of bi-amp speaker cable and banana plugs.

i have placed the centre speaker on order the mercury custom centre im just left with buying the all important subwoofer just one snag i dont no what to get :( as a complete system the TANNOY TS12 SUBWOOFER is the ideal partner but its well over 400 i wouldnt really like to spend over 300. any sujestions? also what about the TANNOY TS10 SUBWOOFER??

thanks in advance Adam

Ah well the SW150 would be my choice of the two, but I didn't mention it as I thought from your original post that you were planning to keep it 'in the family'.

I have the F4's as my front pair and find they produce a good amount of bass. Would the SW150 really make much difference as I'm toying with the idea of getting a sub. I would have thought that with a decent set of floorstanders a much beefier sub would be required to make a worthwhile difference..... but then what do i know!

And if you're reading this Andrew, any idea what set of di/bipoles would go well with the F4's?

Cheers

Nick

Just got back from superfi as i was picking up some qed cable, i enquired about the sw150 if they had stock or how long the turn around would be for one said a few days.

however he also mentioned thatit would be in my best interest to save the extra cash and purchase the MJ Acoustics Pro 50 MkII over the sw150, i can pick un the sw150 for £184 or it would be 292 for the pro50 little confused atm as he said would be the better option plus the fact the sw150 got an award for best sub under 300 :/
