Finding speech had to hear while watching movies

Hi all

just wondered if about if you guys had any tips on how to make the speech slightly louder on quite bits of films without turning the volume up

Whatched Grey last night and a couple of times hearing the speech was quite hard but all the louder stuff was amazing and there is a part where one of the wolfs comes up behind one of the actors and was very scarey from rear surround speaker

Their could be a setting on your avr to tweak regarding speech leval,or as i do just turn up the leval on your center speaker.

This is an issue that AV customers have been complaining since the beginning of AV but, they still don't seem to get it . The AV industry for some reason is still convinced that majority of their customers own a castle with no neighbors in 2mile square.

I have also turned up the volume of my center channel since calibration for this reason.

Me too. Surely not a Yamaha issue. BDs are better than tv I think but an annoying issue

Trial and error in your own home..... isn't it ?
