Finally bought a new tv

Went with the Toshiba 32'' 32C3030D as recommended on here and can't be happier so thanks for all your help. Now i have been offered Philips 42PFP5532D plasma for my other room for £699, does anyone know anything about this plasma ? is it worth the money - Thanks in advance !

Glad you're enjoying the Tosh. We haven't tested that particular Philips, but that seems a great deal - the same set is £899 on the Philips website.

It's an entry-level Philips - no frills like Ambilight, but still offers HD Ready resolution (its spec means it won't accept native 1080p, but should be happy with everything else) and a pair of HDMI sockets.

I haven't got the line-up for next month's 42in Supertest with me, so I can't tell you whether it's one of the 10 tests we'll be bringing you from 20th Sept....

Right, back to watching the rugby (i'm using the Forums as a distraction from England's poor performance...)
