the_lhc:I'm less impressed that I've now got a de facto id card

Yeah, why there's any fuss made about ID cards at all I don't know. I had to get a new license last year and I found that I didn't have to do anything - they just looked up my records from the passport office and used the photo from that.

Our review model is black with silver/grey accents....But there may be other finishes (if not in UK, then in Europe).

Yeah same here, as I'd lost my old license the only info I gave them was the passport number and my previous and current addresses. At least that photo just looks like a US police Most Wanted mugshot, in the latest photos I had done I seem to have opted for the German serial killer look...

I'm missing the Grado Sr80i summary, but they're a bit too odd-ball looking for my taste, so I can live without it. Presume it said "like the Sr60i, but with a slight bit more..."?

my copy has these issues as well, while i appreciate that you have posted links to the obscured reviews it does mean that my stack of WHF mags that are in a nice collection is now less than pristine...

its also unfortunate that its the first copies off the press as they go to your most loyal customers ie the subscribers...

ifi purchased this from a shop i would return it and demand another copy, so can i post my copy back to you and could you send me a 'clean' copy?

cheers

Tim

gel:The philips 40 inch PFL9704 did it do well?

Oh, didn't it do well...?

I amfraid I am still non the wiser, I don't know what this means?

Thanks

.... are you completely unaware of any social reference?

"Didn't he/she/it do well?" is one of Brucie's catchphrases when someone, well, does well! Yes, it's a very good review.

Andrew Everard:

Hi the_lhc, Thanks for that,

and no soical reference's are not one of my strong points.

I am guessing 5 stars excellent, or 4 stars because of the price.

Thanks

At a wild guess, I'd suggest walking, driving or maybe taking public transport...

It's all relative though, isn't it. I gather from some of my colleagues that there's not a great deal of snow around Teddington. By contrast, we've had 5in of it around here (East Sussex) and hundreds of motorists have spent the night trapped on the A3.

Hence I'm at home, not at my desk.

Ditto here - around 35cm here in Hants, and a good excuse to use the Terrain Response snow program this morning just to go and get some milk!

Hants is a bit of a nightmare. I travelled home from Havant to Fareham last night, a journey that normally takes about 15-20 minutes and it took nearly 5 hours!!

Unsurprisingly I am at home today.....
