Fawlty Towers is coming back...

...risky or what?
(It's apparently going to show how Basil is dealing with modern day issues - so there'll be no lack of material).

What do you think?
Glad it's returning?
Or best left as a classic memory?

Why bring it back as it will never be as good as the original. They brought Open all hours back a few years ago and it was not as the original and when they brought back Only fools and horses it was also not as good. Don't they have any original ideas at the BBC? Guess not. The BBC are getting more and more dumbed down by the year. ...( Edited by mods)

Should never be remade for several reasons: Cleese is now too old at 83. Nearly all the original cast members have either passed or too old and suffering from health issues; remakes or reboots are never as good as the originals.

Cleese will turn Fawlty Towers from an icon to a joke.

Those two series was (and still is) very funny, this next one is Cleeses swansong IMO.

Nobody here in favour. No surprise.
Makes you wonder, if he saw this reaction everywhere (which he's likely to do) whether he'd want to bother.

(Think he said he needed money to pay for his divorce).

The BBC are not responsible for this one and, all TV companies are doing the same recycling of old ideas.
