Favourite songs about politics???

Paulo Nutini. Iron sky..

Released around the same time as the Scottish independence referendum political campaign was afoot.

I'm not sure if Paulo meant it as a political song but up here in Scotland...to me this song resonated with my feelings and general turmoil that had been created by all parties involved in the spin. This referendum tore families apart up here and SHE thinks she can do it all over again...fu#k that.

Roger Waters entire career but ''The Bravery Of Being Out Of Range'' is particularly biting in it's commentary. Does it step on the toes of Black Sabbath's 'War Pigs'? Probably. Given the way our soldiers are used in the Middle east by politicians in London and Washington DC, they are as relevant now as it was when written.

Love it or hate it this is by far most funny and lighthearted political song ever, even if you don't agree with it's sentiments.

A rare slice of political comment from Richard Thompson on his Rumor & Sigh album, Mother Knows Best (about Thatcher).

.

Pretty much the whole album.

Roger Waters' anti war, anti Thatcher tirade.

"Oh Maggie what have you done?"

Great album
