I never get an extended warranty for any electrical goods - you'd be a mug to, and effectively by not insuring any you're covering yourself with the money you save.
However, certainly a few years back I'd heard you'd be a fool to get a large LCD / Plasma without a 5 year warranty so I'd like to know if this is still the case or whether build quality has improved to the point where it's not so necessary ?
