Just to point out a fairly major error in the latest issue. In the review of the KDL37V5500, 200Hz Motionflow is mentioned as a feature twice in the main body of the review including comment on its contribution to the set's performance. It is also referred to in the picture labelling.

In case anyone is confused by this, the V-series doesn't feature any type of Motionflow whatsoever. It is not even 100Hz, yet alone 200Hz. 100Hz Motionflow is a feature of the W series (available from 32" and above), and 200Hz Motionflow is only available on the Z series, which is only available in 40", 46" and 52".

You're not wrong - our sincere apologies. This set hasn't got Motionflow, merely excellent, smooth motion.

Is this correct? As I have the Sony V and W series sets.

I do not recall any of the V5500 [with no freesat]series as having 200hz motionflow???? Only the Z have 200hz.Did the reviewer review think this set thinking 200hz was switched on??

Mmmm.

But been pround owners ofhe V and W series, the V series holds its own with motion tracking upto a certain screen size though.

The price of £700 quoted for the Sony as a RRP is very steep. You could get the 40 inch W5500 for less than that. That price might put off buyers and make the Sumsung better value - when it isn't.

Can I suggest you[what hifi] quote more accurate prices?? I certainly would not pay £700 for a 37 inch.

RRP - Recommended Retail Price, which means the price which manufacturers recommend. Shops are free to decide whatever price they want to sell the product at. The shop prices are very volatile in response to the competition, although the RRP will remain the same. You will usually (almost always) find items at prices lower than the RRP. Obviously, WHF cannot print the lowest available price they can find, these figures will become obsolete by the time the print version comes out.
