l had delivery of a pair of Epos M5i 'speakers yesterday.
From having a listen in the dealers & from what people had said on this forum, l expected a controlled, slightly bright top end & a taught, lean bass.
They are being used with a modified trichord Arcam Alpha 5 CD, Arcam Alpha 8 integrated amp, Arcam 9 power with DNM biwire cable & Gotham interconnects.
According to the info' they will take approx' 24 hours before getting near their best.
Now having a good session last night l was very surprised how rich & full they sounded, relative for a small 'speaker. No lean bass, but well integrated with the top & mid range.
Perhaps this will change when they are fully run in.
l know it may well be the sum of the componants and/or the listening environment.
