Enough cable to choke a donkey?

Hi im just about to purchase speaker cable for my room which is max 3m in length.

i have 4 stands that are 1m tall so will this be enough cable so that if need be it can be hidden under carpet or tacked to the way

1m for the centre speaker

3m for the fronts(1m stand 2m to play with)

6m for the rears(1m for the stands 5m to play with)

this should be enough right??

Get a metal tape measure and run it along the path you need to take it, make it bend the path and then read off the length, I bought 3m rather than the 2m I thought I needed after doing this. You need to account for amp to floor drop etc too.

Metal tape is good as it'll bend like a decent cable, whereas string is too flexible. Though it depends on the cable, I've got pretty thick chord carnival silver screen so gentle curves are easier than sharp bends.ÿ
