Elac debut reference

Good to be back on What hifi forums!

I love my Elac debut b5 mark 1 but I'm wondering whether the new debut reference might be a real step up from these. Are they even available in the UK and has anyone heard them?

Also, while we're about it has anyone heard the Triangle bro3 which are raved about across the pond?

Hi Rob, as you may know Elac are not massively popular in the UK. I've heard one or two speakers from them before but can't help you. There's a thread about Triangles.

Yes, that lack of popularity has always baffled me. I've tried about 6 other speakers, some up to £500 rrp, on my admittedly very modest system (Marantz m-cr603 with Yamaha wxc-50) and to my ears the Elac debut b5 beats all of them. The Triangles sound interesting- have you heard them?

Not yet. But if you like Elac why not try the Jet twetter ones. They usually are immense
